Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning
(hereafter, MSIT) selected 300 promising startup venture companies having high
growth potential in the ICT area and officially published the 2nd ‘K-Global
300’ on December 30 (Friday).
This company selection is according to ‘ICT startup
venture policy integrated connection plan’ established for the effective
support of ICT startup ventures, and prepared for MISIT’s policy support
targeting for promising ICT startup venture companies having global opportunities
to advance and growth potential.
For the 2nd K-Global 300, supporting organizations
in MSIT (Eight organizations including National IT Industry Promotion Agency,
K-ICT Born to Global Center, Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation, Information
communication Technology Promotion Center, Informatization Promotion Agency,
Korea Communications Agency, Internet Promotion Agency, and Database Promotion
Agency ) taking charge of ICT startup venture supporting projects (hereafter,
K-Global project) and private specialists proceeded with excavation and
evaluation. Of the companies supported by ‘K-Global project’, 200 companies
were selected through the evaluation and verification of company capability and
promising including investment attraction, job creation, global market entry
performances, and 100 companies were selected through evaluation and
verification of companies recommended by respective local Centers for Creative
Economy and Innovation.
22% of selected startup
venture companies come from Non-Metropolitan areas including Daejeon, Daegu,
and Busan, and many companies that won domestic and overseas foundation contest
awards and investment attractions are included
